Three years ago I was in NYC after winning a spot at the incredible Lara Jade ’s fashion photography workshop. At the time I was torn between the “fashion world” and the “wedding world” when I met this sweet couple and ended up setting up a couple’s session before I left. Between then and now, I’ve fallen in love with my “wedding world”. I enjoy the intimate and real moments I am able to capture as a wedding photographer. I enjoy the connections I am able to make with people from many different backgrounds. I enjoy being able to live in my beautiful, small town and live a simple life… but travel and experience new things through my work. My perception of what being a wedding photographer would be was so different back then. And throughout my journey I twisted the perception I had to something that is completely my own.. Something that blends the creativity I enjoyed about fashion photography into weddings, and doesn’t confine what wedding photography should be into a box. Every client inspires me in a new way. And in the moment, we have fun and I’m able to capture who they are as a couple. This month I returned to NYC. I was able to spend some time with and photograph these two again for an anniversary session! We had a light, fresh blanket of snow and magical morning light. This is a New York City Engagement Session.

The session begins at Lyndhurst Mansion for some intimate moments as the sun rises. It ends in New York City, wandering the streets filled with the last bits of snow. New York City Engagement Session in the snow
